What is a measured survey?
A measured survey takes necessary measurements to provide existing drawings of a building or plot. There are a whole range of reasons why you may need a measured survey, but the most common are:
- Lease plans
- Architectural design
- Steel/beam calculations
If you have already instructed an architect/building surveyor to come up with a design scheme, they may need us to provide detailed existing drawings. We can provide AutoCAD files for your chosen designer to use on your project.
How do Easton Bevins undertake a measured survey?
We use laser tape measures (commonly referred to as ‘distos’), tape measures and excellent sketching ability to enable us to produce accurate existing drawings.
How much does a Measured Survey cost?
This will depend on the size, complexity and detail required. Measured surveys for lease plans or reinstatement cost assessments do not require the same level of detail as that to inform proposed designs and are typically less expensive.
