Richard Sherwood - Chartered Building Surveyor

Richard initially joined Easton Bevins on our graduate training scheme, qualifying as a Chartered Building Surveyor in the spring of 2017.
He has worked on a broad variety of projects including: undertaking Building Surveys, acting as Building/Adjoining Owner’s Surveyor under the Party Wall etc. Act, undertaking Fire Risk Assessments, advising landlords and tenants on dilapidations claims, assisting with preparing Expert Witness Reports, overseeing site works and producing schemes for Planning Permissions, Listed Building Consents and Building Regulations applications.
Before undertaking post-graduate qualifications to become a Building Surveyor, Richard qualified as an engineer and calls on this background in his day to day work during surveys and designs. He takes a particular interest in historic buildings and has recently completed a refurbishment scheme on a period property, as well as assisting a long standing school client with winning funding for, and overseeing improvement works to, their Grade II Listed building.
